Head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, returned to Utopía Mixhuca to launch a vacation program that her administration will carry out in different delegations to benefit children and local communities. Utopía Mixhuca was the first of these facilities to open outside the Iztapalapa borough. For now, the inauguration date for the next Utopía in Azcapotzalco has not been confirmed, but sources told LPO that both local and federal authorities are accelerating the work to meet the goal announced during the inauguration of the unit in Iztacalco. Brugada stated, 'The city is not just for working, transiting, living or inhabiting it; the city is also for enjoying it.' She added, in a critique of the opposition that has objected to these types of works in recent months, 'We think differently. There are those who believe that the government should not promote this kind of activity for the enjoyment of the family and the community. A just city is one that shares time and provides the possibility to enjoy life in family and community. We have the obligation to defend joy as a trench, to defend and democratize joy as a right and not a privilege.'
